Kuru Nights Presents Soundclash // The Factory Plymouth // 21st March 2015 //
Kuru Nights is an events management company set up by students at Dbs Music, their first event is titled Soundclash and takes place on Saturday 21st March 2015. Doors open at 10pm until 6am with various offers for pricing discounts please see press for details. The event is a clash between house and drum and bass genres in two different rooms at the recently refurbished Factory on Lockyer street in Plymouth, A club well known for their underground house and drum and bass nights.
Headlining the event in room one will be DLR who is a drum and bass force to be reckoned with. His collaborations with the likes of Hydro, Mako, Villem, Prolix, and Break as well as a series of high-profile releases on imprints like Dispatch, Horizons, and Shogun have propelled him into the drum and bass elite. At this event he will be showcasing his first solo album ‘Seeing Sounds’ on Dispatch recordings, be the first to hear his new work. Support for DLR will include local talent Mozzy, Disregard, Poklypz, Brakka, Stokka & Komplex all of whom are great artists and Dj’s.
In the second room, Si Gordon one half of the Stereo Mutants from Defected will be furnishing the turntables with his brand of deep house funk that the Mutants are so well known for the world over. Since early 2004 his unique productions with partner Piers Kirwan have barged their way into the house music elite with singles and remixes released on the mighty Defected records (UK), Soulfuric records (US), Hardsoul Pressings (NL), MN2S(UK), Bubblesoul music (Spain), Duffnote (UK), Delecto recordings (Canada), Maya records (NYC) and more. Support is from Exocet ,Connerz, Thoze2, Dylan Wallace, Ritchie Martin And Areca all of which have their own unique styles in mixing and production and a mix of different house genres.
