As title says, this is a 3 deck live set I recorded at a local night here in Berlin. Started off all guns blazing then slowly went a bit deeper but people weren't feeling it as much so ended up playing mostly heavier neurofunk type stuff again. There were a few slip ups but went pretty well overall (only major mistake was get dark >> perfect world where the record skipped while they were both playing and had to completely cut get dark. also I guess the vocals of sickness/aftermath clashing is kinda annoying but you couldn't even hear the aftermath vocals in the club at that point!).

320kbps, no MC, download enabled. Enjoy :)

Big mix man, tracklist is wicked.

Favourite part was

Sabre - Halo Danger [Dispatch]
>>> Foreign Concept - Mob Justice (Enei remix) [Critical]

and

Dub Phizix - Creator [Exit]
Skeptical - Static [Commercial Suicide]

I've been doing the Skank >> Aftermath mix myself, props on that! :)

Love hearing Headroom, especially as an opener, as it sets the scene with its ratatat drums. Can't believe I slept on it & waited & waited for more tunes to beef up an order, then missed it. Mix with Krakpot rmx worked wonders, even though I hadn't heard it before or particularly liked the tune. The Headroom - Dustup tease was wicked. Kept the filthy vibe together. Seeing Limber up next, I know more filth is yet to come & letting it work its magic on its own was a nice touch. So Real rmx's vocals start to chat their way into the mix & it isn't long before the filth is continued with the aforementioned tune. Pinging symbols announce the arrival of Machine, for the winding bass to build, starting the engine for some dj friendly beat to keep the ride rolling. Pleased to hear the vocal of Struggle & Pain announcing the drop is on its way. 4th switched tune in a row. Blended together well, but would like to here the 'mix' of the tunes from time to time, just personal preference. Pest Kontrol restores what I was just writing about, with a wicked blend, the rolling bass of Pest Kontrol keeping the bass in Struggle & Pain nice & fresh. Fav mix so far :) Atmospheric pads of Halo Danger let us know its build, then the vocals of Mob Justice rmx ease up to the drop for a choice blended double.

Felt the pace dropped a smidge when New Jack Swing came in, but by the second 32 bars from its arrival, the energy was back. The nasty bass of Year 2133 VIP is in for the breakdown in New Jack Swing, which was a contrast to the nuerofunk tunes that had been dropped previously. Brought a smile to my face- hearing Passive Aggressive rmx stepping its was into the mix :) but would have liked to hear the mix with that, kept in (am working on something with that myself). Creator ticks its was into the breakdown of PA rmx incredibly well, as there is no beat to listen out for in the breakdown, for the double to come in. Pleasing to hear + anticipating the mix with Static to be quality, as Dub Phizix & Skepticals tunes can be similar, as well as making tunes together. When Static came in, the little 'er' vocals in Creator bounced well on the top of Static's step. Outsider rolled effortlessly off the back of Static & a wise decision to let that roll out on its own. Stringed notes of Drop By Drop sit very well on Outsider for some newer flavours to do their stuff in the mix. Very nice hearing St Clair making its way into the mix. Heard a friend play it in a mix the other day & its been sat in my stack for a while, I was like... I know I've got that tune, but can't remember the name. Drop By Drop - St Clair was yet another quality blend. Snapcase begins to build to the drop to do its thing & echoed notes of St Clair to ride underneath. Chaingang rmx is in before the mid breakdown in Snapcase & makes for another quality mix. Wicked hearing Chaingang rmx in another members mix & second fav mix atm :)

Not heard Jinx before & waiting for it to make an appearance. When it does, it brings some nasty hooks to the ride with a double from Chaingang rmx's second drop. Bit too much for my liking (the tune, not the mix). Get Dark keeps the filth of the previous tune alive. Bit of a shame with Get Dark - Perfect World jumping. Not heard Perfect World before & it was a wicked first listen. Steady State VIP brought yet more filth, but not feeling the structure of that bass in there. Personal thoughts again. Flavours of Skank start building for more dirty bass lines to enter proceedings. Aftermath - Sickness rmx was a ridiculously long vocal clash, but the tune rolled well off the back. Wasn't really feeling the mix from Aftermath through to the end really, when compared to the start & middle sections of the mix, but thats just my taste.

A wicked mix throughout IFTN / Koashy, bar what you mentioned & a couple of the smallest running mixes. Fair play for mixing on vinyl + the whole 3 deck thing too. Also, 30 tunes in 58 mins is a very good ration :) Keep up the good work man! What decks were you mixing in? I presume the were Technics. If so, what modal?

Cheers man, glad you enjoyed it! Those were my 2 favourite parts aswell, didn't go off as much as I was expecting though :( I mean I could tell there were a few heads in there that really appreciated it but the majority of the people just wanted it as heavy as possible - the opening and closing mixes were definitely the ones which went off best..

Wow immense feedback, really really appreciate it! ("you must spread some rep"...) I feel kinda bad though cus I'm guessing you thought the mix was on actual vinyl but it's in fact timecode vinyl. Shouldn't really change much though you can pretend it was real vinyl if it means you enjoy it more ;)

I agree with pretty much everything you say though! Even the bit about the last few tracks, I had a corker of a deep set planned but ended up having to rinse my heavier stuff cus of the atmosphere in there. Wanted to play more demand/ingredients/proximity/horizons type stuff but will probs just save it for my next studio mix now :)

Considering the specific comments you made, I do think I have a bad habit of bunching all my long mixes/double drops together and then having a run of just switches, i should probably consciously try and space the mixes I know work really well together evenly out to keep people on their toes a bit more ;)

And I know what you mean about New Jack Swing, I swear something was up with it? Like you can't hear the little dreadnaught-esque "doo" noise on the first beat every 4 bars and the track just generally sounded a bit crappy, can't for the life of me figure out why that would be though..

Re: everything else, glad you enjoyed it!! I know I gave feedback on one of your mixes in the last couple of months, but not sure if you've done another since then? I'll have a gander and try and give some good feedback if so :)

Yo IFTN! This was wicked. Haven't been really listening to alot of this darker stuff in a while but this went down a treat.

fav bits

Audio - Headroom [Virus]
Optiv - Krakpot (Jade remix) [Close 2 Death]
>>> Noisia & The Upbeats - Dustup [Vision]
Maztek - Limber [Renegade Hardware]
Kasra & Enei - So Real (Mefjus remix) [Critical]
Chroma - Machine [Renegade Hardware]
Mefjus & M-Force - Struggle & Pain (feat Makism) [Breed 12 Inches]

&

Calyx & TeeBee - Skank [Ram]
Fourward - Aftermath [Audioporn]
Mindscape & Ryme Tyme - Sickness (Zero Method remix) [Citrus]
Fourward - Talk to Me [Mainframe]
The Upbeats - Beyond Reality [Vision]
Fourward - Wishes (Mindscape remix) [Citrus]

Basically both bits of Neuro at the start & finish. Like I said haven't really listened to alot in the last couple of months or so, & was nice to listen to quite a well structured mix in places considering its live. It's not that I didnt like the middle bit of the mix, I'm not massive on Creator but thought the blend with Static was pretty swish.

Some wicked tunes in here, technically sound. Was looking for something a bit darker this morning for my tastebuds and you nailed it.
Big ups (y)

yeah man agreeing with most above... up to struggle and pain was awesome my type of music and mixing, all nicely done, dont see much fault with them (actually has taken me to beatport to get the cash out haha) infact even the hydro tune outta of struggle and pain was well executed... im writing as i listen and im at work so il comment when i reach the end too

Cheers for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! Next time I play at that club (just under 2 months) will probably play a whole set of that kind of stuff and if there's enough new tunes out so I don't end up playing any of the same tunes I'll probs record and upload that too

Repped where possible :)
