Killa Kella is wicked. I saw him 3 years ago on the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium. It was very nice.

    its neither man, its beatboxing.
Just like a DJ, who from definition doesnt need scratching to mix music at a party, but many do so, to impress, put some variety in their set, or just for a laugh with the punters.
Likewise, an MC is supposed to spit, many of em throw a few beats along their lyrics.

And again, just like good scratch DJ go on to do shows of their own, Killa kella is a sick MC, and he gets to do his thing without a DJ or any machines.
I thinks that is art, purely for raw talent. I mean, i got one of his CD's, and it is indeed clever how he sequence and layer his own beats (and thats literally his OWN beats.!!), but i havent given it too many listens. it gets a bit boring. I mean, it sounds just like any other kicks, snares, hi hats, toms, and bass put together.Killa Kella is only good live.
Just like MixMasteMike's albums is kinda broing listening to at home, watching him live is a religious experience.

Does anyone remember that stand up comedian/beatboxer, talking about Jungle MCs and how they cannot shut up...? well funny man, and yeah, if a club had one of em guys in between warm up and big name DJ's, id defo be there every week.

Kella is a good beatmachine, just a pity he is such a nob. He knows he's good, and not in a Grooverider kind of way, even worse. You can't talk to him without feeling like you want to tell him to shut the fuck up.
If any one has heard of him, Schlomo is a fantastic beatboxer as well (the guy who beatboxed for Ronnie on Eastenders, we still rag him about it today, but he got a shitload of money for 2 minutes footage, so can't blame him), just as good as Killa Kella I think, and he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
