KIJE brings forth the ECHO EP, 4 tunes of unmatched dancefloor bass laden drum & bass cuts.
Kicking off with the title track, ECHO.
A low key string builds the suspense with subtle key changes before opening up into a 2 step roller of unrelenting tech power, mid range leads sitting on a a low sub do the damage to speaker cones, listen for the mid range as it subtly throws open the modulation to some LFO goodness.
Never Give it up opens up with punchy drums alongside a warm, summertime feel with lush organs. But that’s just there to put the listener at ease as when it drops, it drops heavy alongside a hip hop snipet “give it up”
The bass bubbles and moves the groove into a shapely heavy roller with clever percussion sprinkled in to add extra spice.
Invisible Enemy has a somewhat cinematic opening, alongside mid range scratched stabs before dropping into a morphing modulation bass, alongside a big offkey stabs this is full of suprises, lots of interplay between the percussion is the order of the day without the tune losing direction.
In Hiding finishes this wicked EP off with a solid stepping, head down vibe.
The bass works low down as you would come to expect from Kije, a slightly ethnic feel to this tune gives it that extra character and makes it stand out from the the 3 dancefloor bangers that came before
