Excellent bass sound, and nice tutorial.
A fair few things I'd sort of vaguely heard of, but never actually heard what they sound like in real life.

I learned a lot, (I've got a lot to learn though) ... all that EQ stuff is a complete mystery... I can barely hear my EQ, let alone know how to use it except in the simplest ways. Still, I expect if I put in the hours and watch more tutorials I'll figure it out.

Alz, you can do pretty much all of that in logic if you have the right free plugs with you. Just replace Bifilter with Ohmygod and CamelPhat with Camelcrusher and you're set.
