I see what you wanted to achieve. Like the ideas, but the mixing isn't very good as you stated. The kickdrum isn't cutting thru the heavy bass. Actualy all the drums ain't. The vocals are barely hearable. The bass is a bit muddy. U could solve alot of this with some proper eq-ing. Nice ideas tho. Good luck!

all about training. you dont hear such things when you startout. just keep tweaking and itll eventually sound better everytime you are mixing
