Justification for 10 year old gear - the EMU samplers

thinking of running samples through my old tape recorder, it's got a tube in it and all. I've used it as a guitar and bass amp 'til now.

questions for emu users, when i sample a bass for example, i in sample edit its the right pitch but when i click preset edit it pitches it up so far i cant even move donw the midi keyboard to play my bass
what am i doing wrong

Never had that happen. obvious thing would be to look at the tuning things in the preset edit menu. and the original key the sample is in, the leftmost item in the first menu of the edit preset thingy.

yeh i got it sorry, was a noob move. having so much fun with the filters. anyone got any good tutorials or anything on the emus?

yup there are some on youtube and there is a pdf floating about, check dogsonacid.com, dillusion wrote a bunch of stuff on the emu
