I am currently putting together a Jungle/Drum and Bass mix exclusively featuring tracks from video games. Thought it would be interesting. Not just your average jungle mix but one that my fellow nerds can appreciate too :) The mid to late nineties era in gaming was big for this stuff it seems... You know the kind, light airy chords under some mental amen breaks! So yeah guys! mind lending a helping hand?

And yes.. I know of MSX FM in GTA 3... But those are legit Jungle tracks.. not exclusive to that game lol

I'm sure there must be more OST's out there! I am trying to avoid newer games but anything will do really. Even if the game just has ONE track which fits this style please share :)

All time favorite:

Then again UT99 has probably my all-around favorite original soundtrack of any game. It's pristine.

On the other hand, Killing Floor had some sick original darkstep made for it

Seba & Paradox - Frost was on some FIFA street soccer game in like 2006 or 2007.

Moving Shadow licensed a bunch of tunes to games over the years - the Rollcage soundtrack had a load of Decoder, EZ Rollers and Dom type tunes on it.

- - - Updated - - -

First Wipeout soundtrack had a few Photek and Source Direct jams on it too

Nice idea this would be interested to hear the finished product.

You still should use a couple from MSX because when you say drum & bass from games everyone will think of MSX fm.

Yes Wipeout, FIfa and which one had the Noisia type tracks in them? I cant remember

The Rollcage Stage II OST is dnb only

but as you can actually buy those tunes, it´s probably not what you´re looking for I guess.

Also, not exclusive but BIG

and :teeth:

Midnight club (don't know which one now) had some moving shadow stuff like noisia's ep, Dom & Roland, calyx, culture shock and even some logistics. None of them were exclusive to the game though.

It was Midnight Club 3, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, there's a dnb in Need for Speed Most Wanted (the 2005, not the 2012 game) - "Barrier Break" by Dieselboy + Kaos

Well I can remeber anything from 90ties games, but here something that will be always in my playlist

Oh they added those with the summer 2009 update.

Play the map called "Bedlam"... the setting for the map is an underground drum & bass rave, in an abandoned London asylum. Except, of course, all of the attendees were slaughtered by specimens...
Most of the backing music is darkstep and neuro

Actually, one of the bonus characters is based on this map, lol.

"DJ Scully was AWOL from the military and spending his nights in the London underground spinning dark drum and bass, working under the table for the many clubs in London. During one of his sets he witnessed all his fans get shredded to pieces by a giant creature with flesh blenders for hands. These unfortunate events have thrust him back into the combat he was running away from."
