What sort of jump up do you lot like.. TC Fan? Clipz? Hazard? Twisted individual?

I like some TC tunes like game over and flatline and hate others like rockstar and jump.. i like a bit of clipz; slippery slope and sticky. Get closer had potential but too beepy.

I like some of hazards stuff it's all too samey though the melodies aren't catchy enough.

I like the rolling type jump-up Shy FX makes sometimes, also Dillinja. And that 'Bounce Back' tune by Nu Balance is good fun, on Bingo. oh and that RoboCop rmx Friction's been playing a bit(y)

how about real jungle, not the garbage by rote "music" they are now calling jump up?

    kenny ken, mickey finn......A W O L

the shit they are dropping now has nothing to do with jungle in any way shape or form

so its new, it doesnt sound like jungle did, you don't like it, therefore its not jump-up?

Last time I saw Mickey and Kenny play, it was that modern 'garbage'. times change, and jump-up is still a valid term for modern drum'n'bass that makes you do just that, jump around. I can see why you might not like it though, so fair enough.

but those wonderful times of the mid-nineties, just a sweet memory.

For people who differentiate jungle from drum n bass (I don't), they should use the term jump up to describe a genre of jungle. The stripped beats of jump up are definitely not amens and jump up as a style appeared in the time the music started to be called drum n bass.

Anyway, I'm liking the modern tunes coming from Digital Soundboy and Ganja. Not a big fan of TC or Clipz but they're fine in their way.

yeah thats a good example, back in the mid 90s I would have described him as exactly that (Woman That Rolls, Style From the Darkside spring to mind). havent heard any stuff of his for ages though.

It still sounds exactly the same. Though a little less rolling and a little more cocaine high-hat.

I think modern jump up is some sort of secret happy hardcore invasion of drum and bass ...but Callide is bloody good...Noah D too...

not so much into jump up anymore.....

Sub Focus would be my fav tho,

TC's Deep/Robots was wicked but rockstar and gameover just dont do it for me.

I find it quite hard to say which artist I like, as you can always get stinkers. I love jump-up, I listen to it and decide wether it's too much or wether it's my thing.

I'm feelin some of the stuff $marty linked me too on his myspace though. If I was a big I am gettin bookin's I wud of nagged for some copies but I kno I won't get so I have to wait for the release :(
