DnB Jump up / Dance floor “WOAH” bassline

Hello Dnb heads! Im quite new to these forum sites and this is my first post, ive been producing for about 1-2 ish years and I need some help n advice about a certain bass sound used by producers like; Tantrum Desire, Drum sound & Bassline Smith, Heist, Hazard, Original Sin…the list goes on

Ive made a video on Youtube made up of tunes with the “woah!” bass sound so you can get the idea of the kind of sound im talking about…


I currently have NI Massive and Albino synths, CamelPhat distortion and Ohmicide distortion so im pretty sure ive got the tools to make the sound, ive messed about with massive alot (for long periods of time) and ive got sort of close to it but haven’t managed to get that really rich sounding “WOAH” that sounds so goood!

Another similar sound is the “WAMP WAMP” sound used a lot by taxman, original sin, Hazard in tunes like Taxman & Original Sin - Casino … and … Original Sin - Back For More

Some may say making that sound would be cheating/copying, but im obviously going to change it up and make it to my own taste/preferences to keep things fresh.



Any advice would be really helpful

to get the different wamp womp or wompever sounds, its best to learn the basic 'yoi yoi' bass technique thats shown on youtube many times but then modify it by tryin different wave combinations for different 'talking' sounds
 
add some of the old trooper trooper moosh and slip the old grinder half way through then try using an AP filter with high sho sho

cool guys cheers for the advice, time to put it into practice :) im not exactly sure what luciduk is talking about, im not sure whether that was sarcasm or not lol but its all good, like i said, any help is appreciated. thnx ppl :)
 
me again, after alot of experimentation with distortions etc, still cant seem to get that bass sound :( the hi ranking tutorial on the other thread seemed to be for more dubstep style bass, but jump up bass is proving harder to make, if anyone out there has successfully made some real dirty jump up basslines, any advice would be good. cheers.
 
practise! Thats your best bet.....

Theres hundreds of tutorials on youtube, theres loads of guides on here too. Just read / watch them, and keep practising.
 
cool man, been at the dials an knobs on massive and my distortions. managed to get some sick sounding heist style basslines after alot of fiddling. getting close to the sound im after aswell so its all good. ive put in alot of hours and it seems to be paying off nicely :)
