I've been on job seekers now 4 about 4months, and it has to be the worst 4 months of my life. Unlike most ppl on jsa im actually looking for a job and im finding it so so hard, i can bearly afford to go out eat drink and im starting to get depressed about it. its not as though im not qualified to do alot of things either. im thinking about moving to a different area of the country...anyone live in an area with plenty of jobs??

    7 GCSE's
    Foundation construction award - Carpentry
    Cisco networking course

i also worked for TFL (transport for london) for 15months.
I've been looking for office work really but i dont mind laboring but not alot of building round here.
i need to do something drastic.

jus get any job u can lay ur hands on first, even if its part time at ur local shop

employers are more likely to hire someone who is working than on jsa...

you've just gota get yourself out there. even going from business to business asking for work isnt going to hurt.

retail stores will be hiring due to xmas being so close, the building sites are closing for xmas so you wont get any labourering work atm man.
jsa isnt intended for you to go out for meals, drinks and what not its just for you to survive on, you get a double pay this week should around £180 looking at your age.
new year work will start rolling in again (hopefully)
    good luck mate

Well...it can take a long time, if it takes them a long time to do ur check ups and all that, one of my colegues got it in less than a month! mine took a couple of months, but dindt need really!
The site I work at paid it fot me,but it is expencive! i paid £200 for it! well they did  it has now gone up to £250 ( and thats just to renew it)

U dont have to look the part u just have to have the right licence! theres a door licence then..theres just a normal licence that would allow u to work at tescos!

If £9.50 an hour is a wast of time! i should look for somthink else

Get with a recruitment agency, my mate couldn't find a job for 6 months, went with Acorn (don't know if it's for the whole of the uk) and they found her a £14,000 job within 3 weeks.
