FREE Breaks for all....
The first Saturday of 2008 means the first OUT-BREAK of the year at the Venus Vodka Bar, Guildhall Walk were the breakbeat will be full of twisted basslines, rolling breaks and crunchy beats. This month sees two Portsmouth DJ's come together in attempt to burn off the excesses of one too many mince pies!!
PHILOSIPHA loves the music, loves the clubs, loves the people, and in his own words, most certainly loves the lifestyle. He's been busy on the DJ circuit for a number of years and when he is not sound engineering and mastering, occaisionlly turns his hand to production.
As one third of The New Music Society promotions and event management team with its latest events Lunar Breaks Cafe and RubbaDubb they are the self acclaimed champions of new music and are currently hosting the second room at Cartel.
Being a lover of good music RUINED JON plays a wide range of genres ranging from Electro, Techno, DnB & Hardcore Breaks with the ethos that if it's good, it's good, regardless of genre. Influenced and inspired by people such as Luna C, Grooverider, The Specials, Dave Clarke, The Clash, The Prodigy and the Jam. Jon professes to love getting into a mess and hiding under tables, drunken bravado, skating & bmx'ing and reading. Just not all at the same time!!
The residents responsible for turning the heads on the dancefloor and creating the buzz and atmosphere on the night and to get everyone in the mood with some killer in your face bass will as ever be JAX, IGNITION & PROMO who will be joined on the night by Platinum Breaks cohorts and Out-Break MC's ROCKA G and EASY T, RANDOM K and the original SIDEKICK.
Entry is FREE alnight with the doors open@9pm to the Venus where you'll find OUT-BREAK's uncompromising policy of slamming beats and huge basslines gauranteed in making you shake and wiggle your ass....
