    Woowee!

It's true, won it on Ebay and collected it today, Twin Cobra by Taito (1987), 2 player vertical shooter, kinda follow up to Flying Shark & Slap Fight etc, bit like 1942 but much better!

Only cost £62 an all! It's fully working, nice clean 26 inch screen, micro switch stick and buttons, and the man explained how everything works. It's been in proper arcade use and is fully maintained, so should be good for years to come, and the game boards are so cheap on Ebay, so I can keep changing the game when I get bored.

Anyone who's old enough to have spent teenage years and £s in ye olde arcades will know what this means...Nothing beats dropping in a coin, ka-ching, and pressing the 1P button, and it looks pimp in my house. Well it will do once I've got my house sorted out a bit more (priorities, eh?).

Bit of a palava getting in my house, had to take front door off hinges and force it through, after dragging it round to the back door to try and get it in there, only to find back door was even narrower (stressy):clown:. Worth it though!

http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10231 that's the KLOV link to the game if anyone's interested.

    true story :

a guy i know bought 2 fruit machines and put them in his flat.
whenever his mates come round they play them - some of them are fairly addicted to them anyway. so they put a few quid in mosta the time when they play them.

anyways, he paid about £250 for the pair, and in 6 months he made about £600 PROFIT.

not bad really for just havin them in your flat (y)

    Phew.

Can now complete 1st level on 1 credit.

Had a twiddle about round the back, found the volume control, thing can boom, also the picture control, picture's so sharp and crisp and all properly centered now.

Games are easy to change, & readily available on Ebay for around £10 upwards, and u can get adaptors to play NeoGeo games, which are even cheaper. U can also get Mame pcs and multigames to fit in, quite cheaply.

I wanted a pinball, just they're costly for good uns in good condition, and hard to fix when they go wrong, unless you're techie...

My bro was saying I'd get bored of it quickly, but I don't think so. I still enjoy SlapFight etc on Mame after all these years. & on TwinCobra some of the powered up weapons are huge, as are the enemies, you really need the big screen to appreciate / have a chance to dodge or kill everything that's being chucked at you.

Great stress / boredom reliever to go and have a quick blast in between endless decorating. So yeah, well happy with it, and I reckon a bargain for £60, which you can ez spend on a night out.
