To celebrate the launch of our new event 20/20, Ivy Lab are proud to present our "Bootlegs from the Lab" series where we'll be giving away a FREE track a week - each week between now and the launch of our event on the 11th June.

Ivy Lab are excited to bring you “20/20” - a newcomer to the London nightlife calendar launching in June 2014. Following on from recent projects for Metalheadz, Brownswood, Ram Records and our long-time partners Critical Music; We’re expanding into throwing future-facing parties on our North London doorstep, where we’ll be showcasing the emerging landscape of fusions between Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, Footwork, and Future-Soul.
This batch of early-stage hybrids are often referred to under the stop- gap moniker of ‘Halftime’ - a plain albeit useful classification that hints at the essential role groove-halving has taken in exploring the definition of Drum and Bass. At the same time, the dancefloor-centric sonics often employed throughout the history of Drum and Bass are increasingly finding their way into the works of forward thinking Hip-Hop & Future-Soul producers; providing even more material to feed this nascent yet tangible movement that operates in the hinterland between the various genres.
