I think i've found a pretty good beginner mixer Numark DXM09. But now the question is. should i go for technics? or CDJs? I buy all my tunes on the internet so i personally think it would be stupid to buy them again on vinyl :s... also i never mixed before so what is easier? thanks.

recommend me good cdjs or decks by the way if you can :p

just found this one for 350. doesn't this one normally cost 1000 first hand? http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/Pioneer-CDJ...1?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_123&hash=item4152e3bbf5

Sorry but this question comes up a million times. Did you find what you were looking for?

CDJ

doesnt sound as nice an 'warm' as vinyl
significantly cheaper tunes
tunes cant warp, or be damaged like vinyl
easier to learn to mix on, you'll get good alot quicker than you would with vinyl

Vinyl

an expensive habit
harder to mix on, but way, way more satisfying

thats the facts pretty much mate, up to you what you think is better.

if you go with CDJ

pioneer 400s are pretty stable bedroom decks. dont get pioneer 900s though, mixed on them out for first time on week end an it takes fucking 15 seconds to load the next tune. which fucked up my set abit.

Thanks guys. still have a year to decide ( saving up money :s ). I might go for technics. because they're cheaper than cdj's... yes i know the vinyls itself cost alot, but still. Also another problem is that not every tune comes out on vinyl... and serato or traktor is deffo too expensive when im just starting out.

what i did was start out on 2nd hand 1200's, after about a 7 weeks i'd become fairly decent on vinyl and bulked up my vinyl collection so i recently purchased 1 cdj just to play all the tracks that arent being pressed anymore or i cant get my hands on, i'd say this is the best setup as you get the satifaction and general amazing-ness of vinyl and the practicality of a cdj.

if ur starting out on vinyl, try dnbsource n get the 10 pound for 10 viny (50p a tune) and 20 for 20, although u dont get to actualy choose what u get it. ALSO, keep an eye out for deals and sales until ur confident etc to start paying full price regularly

Same for cdj400's mate, they're sloooooooooooow. But you're right, if u can't stretch to a pair of second hand CDJ1000 Mk3, the CDJ400 is a decent deck. I;ve got one of each and I wanna upgrade the 400 to a 1000. The USB stopped workin too.
