Isolating Reverb

Hello,

I am hoping the community might be able to help. I am wanting to apply reverb to a sound and record the effect only as a separate recording.
Basically I want to still have the dry version of the sample but only create/record the tail.

I was thinking about, for instance a snare, adding reverb to the snare and adjusting the attack to remove the main hit as much as possible but feel like there should be away to accomplish this with a cleaner means.

Have 2 versions on the daw one dry ,one with the effect then you can adjust all settings to get desired balance. Can also bounce the sound to audio for further manipulation.

Record your snare hit with the reverb on it then fade the transient of the snare so it doesn't conflict with the dry version I guess. That's what I usually do when I want to control the reverb but I don't know any "cleaner" way of doing that

Thanks All, here is how it was done in Maschine for anyone interested.
Load Sample
Rout Aux to Reverb
Rout Reverb to Bus and record sample
