is there any certain structure producers use when writing tunes?

if they all did it the same, would dj'ing be better/worse, easier/harder, or does it matter?

i have some opinions on this from a dj's point of view, but what to you think?

serious opinions would be nice:2thumbs:
 
8 16 or 32 bar phrases.. so after 8 bars have a change or after 16 or after 32 and so on. When producing a tune i always make it in multiples of 8 so it'll double drop when being mixed.
 
If you're a dj, then the fact that most dnb tracks have a predictable structure is something that you should know! Its also something that some producers/djs complain about=formulaic dnb.

There are some producers that like to f*** with djs and put in unexpected changes (or perhaps a slight delay in a track so the beatmatch goes out of sync) but 99% is 8, 16, 32.

Even listeners can tell when phrases are going to change - because they've been conditioned by listening to songs with the same basic structure.

Take a listen to the original Warhead with a pen, noting the changes if you want to note a classic structure.
 
standard formula is
64 bar intro
64 bar 1st drop
64 bar breakdown
64 bar 2nd drop
32 + bars outro
