IS MY AMP FUCKED?

i bought a second hand kenwood 200w amp the other day and it cuts out a lot. is this normal , i am runnin 150w speakers off it/ is thsi why?

please help , have i got to go n bash up the man who sold it to me?

Make sure you have all the phasing right, + to + - to -.

It sounds like the overload circuit kicking in (protection). If the speakers are drawing too much load, or if the phasing is reversed, it can cause this.
