There he met Carl and Chris and formed the trio called ''the Usual Suspects'' releasing devastating bassline induced tracks like ''killa bees'', ''Doorway'', ''Spawn'' and ''Shrapnel''. This soon brought them worldwide success winning the best newcomers award by the scenes recognized Knowledge magazine.
In 2000 Keaton met Ruxspin, Scandal and Nitrox, and they formed a group called Universal Project. Their first track was groundbreaking, entitled "The Craft".
Later Keaton started working more independently and pursued a career oriented towards more solo work. He started working with other artists in the drum and bass scene such as Dom & Roland, Loxy, Ink, Dylan, Gridlok, Echo and Hive, while still working with Usual Suspects and Universal Project throughout 2002.
Towards the end of 2003 Keaton collaberated with Hive to produce "The Plague" and "Resolution". This started a strong partnership with Hive and his record label Violence Recordings.
Keaton then reduced his amount of work with the Usual Suspects and stopped being involved with Universal Project, focusing on his solo career. He created his own label, Refuge, in 2004, and collaberated with Loxy on the Xtinction Agenda Label in 2006. EBK
EBK, real name Martin Kornacki, is a drum and bass producer and DJ from London, United Kingdom, with 10 years of releases on influential labels including Renegade Hardware and DSCI4 Recordings.
EBK is an abbreviation for E-Blok, which was EBK’s DJ name in his early teens. It plays on the fact he is of Polish descent, hence Eastern Bloc, combined with the rave culture connotations of the letter ‘E’ commonly used to describe the MDMA based drug Ecstasy. EBK used to be a graffiti writer in London during the mid 90s, though not using the name EBK, the spelling and three letter abbreviation of EBK however follow the street style formula for writing crew names during that era.
EBK cut his teeth as a teenager in the 1990s DJing Jungle on pirate and internet radio stations including Flex FM and Interface before becoming the co-founder of Composite Records a label that at the turn of the millennium was an integral part of drum and bass's movement towards the rolling techno influenced sub-genre now known as Neurofunk.
Following a number of releases on Renegade Hardware including ‘Soma’ and ‘Blackboard Jungle' EBK came to prominence in 2007 with the release of ‘1000 Years’ on Renegade Hardware’s album ‘Above The Game’ along with his remix work for Sudden Def Records.
His tracks are played by DJs across the board and have got national radio support in the UK from broadcasters including Mary Anne Hobbs and the late John Peel.

The story of the mighty Dj E began in 1994, when he started his first radio set on London's Rude FM. E coninued too grace the station too this very day, with his heavy bassline induced industrial teck sound (Thursdays 10pm-12am & Sundays 6pm-8pm) checkwww.RudeFM.com

It was released on Spektrum Audio No. 11, the a-side was entitled "N13", and the flip was called Routine. E followed this by collaborating with B-Key on a track called Default, which was released on XXX. E followed this with joint efforts with close friends dylan, robyn chaos, & Bkey by starting Therapy sessions London. This evolved into the most successful international dark drum and bass promotion.
2007 saw the next release by E, this time a collab with the evil Donny, with a remix track entitled ''Amputation'' on Barcode records. This spurned a flurry of international dj gigs at renowned nights such as Autopsy, Hardware, Therapy sessions, Prospect, Ill Moot, Tech:nology, and Pirate sessions, as well as Intent to Supply.
Today E looks forward too releases on a vast spectrum of labels including an EP with BKEY on Vampire, a collab with Cooh, forthcoming on Guerilla, and a single on Dutty Audio, as well as a few other projects in the pipeline
look out for E in 2011 as big things are coming....... and as E always says ''WATCH!!!!! ITS GONNA GET DARK!!!!!!''
KAIZEN
Kaizen grew up on a healthy diet of Funk, Jazz and Hip Hop. His introduction into Tangerine Dream & Kraftwerk at a young age played a huge part in him wanting to find that ‘next’ sound. After listening to various stations such as Weekend Rush, Don FM, Dream FM and Rude FM in the early 90’s, it was this that got him hooked into the breakbeat music.
In ’94 he started dabbling in mixing but never really took it on properly until late ’95, from then on it became a bit of an addiction. He began raving in ’96 at events such as A.W.O.L, Roast and World Dance. The beats, atmosphere and the culture was something that inspired him.
Fast forward a few years to 2001 and Kaizen started work at S.R.D. It was here where he learnt how the industry worked from the label/producer point of view. It also fed his addiction for vinyl and also manage to get his hands on a few rarities. In the latter half of 2003 he joined Rude FM on the graveyard shift, Saturdays 4-6PM. This was his first stint over the FM airwaves. He also bagged various gigs in countries such as Holland, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK. In 2005 he left the station to study music at college and it was here where he met DJ Pulse and Professor Stretch (Creative Wax/Bounty Killaz). In 2006 he decided to take a break from the scene.
After dabbling in a bit of Dubstep and working with The Others he decided to return to D&B where he hooked up with Facs & Fon of Biotic/XXX Records in early ‘07. With two remixes in the pipeline along with a few colabs, things are looking up for all involved.
He came back to join Rude FM (now known as
www.rudefm.com) in ‘09-‘10 where he held a Saturday afternoon show from 6-8PM. With his amen filled, B-Boy and weight, his shows did not disappoint. He is currently working for Sound Artillery and Tech:Noir Records and is working in the studio alongside MR2, Friske and has future projects lined up with Phil Source, Antidote and the DJ E.
Labels:
Sound Artillery, Tech:Noir, Biotic/XXX Records and Creative Wax.
DJ NYX
London based Drum & Bass DJ who prefers the harder tech side of DNB. Was picked up by Renegade Hardware in October 2009, and has played nearly all events since then alongside DJ’s such as: DJE, ADI-J and EBK. Focusing more on on DJ-ing than production, Nyx’s sets comprise of a variety of artists and labels across the years to try and provide something new and un-bias every time. Shortly after playing for Hardware, she had an opportunity to contribute to the Intent2Supply camp, and continues to encourage and support darker beats in London and the UK.
