Bristol’s Dr Meaker is a producer who, with his 7-piece live band, presents one of the most exciting live dance acts in Britain right now.
Having previously been signed back in 2001, Clive Meaker has taken a new approach to music writing. Using soul, jazz and reggae influences to produce the Meaker sound, Dr Meaker makes music which has commercial appeal whilst remaining true to it’s underground roots.
This unique sound is taken to a live audience with an ensemble that includes Bristol’s finest musicians, some of whom have worked with the likes of Bugz In Attic, Kosheen, Roots Manuva, Kasabian and Massive Attack amongst others.
Dr Meaker’s debut single “Moving And Grooving” made waves across the UK when it was released with support from Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens, Mista Jam, Gerard and Ras Kwarme to name a few.
The band have been rocking crowds with tracks from their debut album 'Lesson From The Speaker' across the country in their live set and if the roar of the crowd at Glastonbury is anything to go by, it’ll only be a matter of time before we start seeing and hearing a lot more of Dr Meakers talent.
DJ CLIPZ (FULL-CYCLE / AUDIO ZOO) 1AM - 2AM
A man who needs no introduction!...In:Session are proud to present a dj set from the legendary Dj Clipz.!!.....Clipz forged his entry to the scene years back with early releases on the 24/7 imprint. He played a number of gigs and pirate stations and it wasn't long before his sound was noticed by legendary bristol label Full Cycle.
With a string of successfull releases and an album dropping with full cycle, Clipz set his sights on running his own label. Audio Zoo has been up and running for over a year now with great success.
Clipz will destroy the dancefloor at In:Session so people better be ready!!
