But only for another 8 weeks :(

But, it's not too bad. It's another two months of pay more than I would be getting, and two months longer to look for a job.

My manager has managed to pull it out of nowhere too. There's no budget to do it, so I don't know how she has.

And I get a week unpaid leave off in between because of some policy. So a nice chill week :)

    Excellent.

Was gonna ask you about this today.

Good effort man, you obviously said the right things.

    Fairplay.

Now I am going to have to kill your high, by butt-raping your mouth on COD 5.

    :D

    Nah, I highly doubt it.

    Yeh, I obviously did!

I doubt I'll be on tonight, I'll be celebrating. I'll be on during the day tomorrow, but off to Bristol in the afternoon and back sunday.

    Yeh, I know.

It gives me a chance to finish ongoing projects I'm doing too, so I can add them to my CV.

So it's all good, I'm happy. Keeps me off the dole for a bit longer.

Hopefully I can find a good job in the next 2 weeks.

That's great news Brof. I wonder if you can find another translator's job in that time?

Nah, there's not much going unless you've done the qualifications to be a senior translator. I was due to do this via work, but because of lack of budgets it fell through.

To do it off my own back, it'd cost grands and grands.

For now I'll just look into any sort of office administration job.

Even if I have to take a wage drop of half my pay. I can't see many places offering me £33k like this job haha.

But it's fine, I'll still be able to afford to pay rent and bills and stuff. Just not so much money to play with, but I can deal with it.

I'm only 20 years old. I could quite easilly start a new career from scratch in something else besides translating. I can always go back to it in the future if I wanted.

Good news Brof, bit more money in your pocket and a welcome holiday. Have you sorted out another job for when this one expires?

    Oldham?

    Nah, not yet.

But I got 8 weeks to. That's a pretty decent amount of time.

Looks like you are as good at sucking cock as you say you are. ;)

    Congrats.

Even when you leave it'll still be quality to put on your cv that you had your contract extended. Especially as it's the government you're working for. (y)

Don't over-indulge then. You need as many irons in the fire as possible. Don't underestimate how difficult it is atm to get a decent job.

    I'm the BOMB at it.

And yeh, I guess that will look really good.

Yeh, I know it still might not be enough, but it's 8 weeks longer that I have money whilst looking.

Though I could probably walk into a call centre and get work as a stop gap. But I'd habe to find another job quickly then, otherwise I'll be 40 an in the same call centre before I know it :(
