skip to 17:50 or so and its the sort of whipping sound the pylons make but i can't find a clean sample anywhere... im sure you'll get what i mean!

I think i know the sound you mean, I recon they've recorded it from a Tube (train) track, if you are talking about the same sound i am hearing, its the same sound you hear just before a tube pulls into a station, coming from the rails....mite help your search, or go down to a tube station with a mic
 


i'm sure u can probly find a much better one to sample off, 4-8 seconds you can hear it clearest, there seems to be an insane amount of 'tube train arriving at station' videos on youtube, guess the trainspotter community is good for sumthing

I recon u can probly make it tho, fast pitch bend on the attack of a square-saw combo might do it, bit of filter wobble mayb
