Right now I am drinking Flying Dog Imperial Porter. I undersand most of you are Europeans with good beer all the time. But I live in America where the Micro Brewery industry is just now taking shape.
Any way this beer kicks ass at 9.2 alc %
What local beers do you guys love?

Are IPAs(Indian Pale Ales) popular in the U.K. or at least in parts.

Not only in the UK, over here I recommend the La Chouffe Dobbelen IPA or the new IJ IPA (a true amsterdam brewed beer). btw I have to stash some of these babies in for a bit for a small festival I'm going to, looking forward to downing these babies while sitting outside and checking things out.

I just drink ale to be honest, there is loads of brewery's around where i live and they have new ones basically every week. However has anyone tried a larger called blue moon? its 5.4% and has a really fruity taste to it.

nah, their normal beers like budweiser and coors are nothing more than bottles of fizzy piss, its us british that have been drinking the stronger stuff quickly to get drunk ASAP.

Doombar is nice, always have a few from my local whenever i go back home, it is a bit 'watery' though, if you know what i mean?

Old Thumper is a personal favourite of mine...

Big fan of wandle which is a local ale to south west london.

Other than that, leffe and duvell are the ones. Belgians know how to make a good beer.

And football players.. yes i'm a chelsea fan
