After discovering drum & bass at age 16, fuelled by a love of LTJ Bukem, Eveson and others, the Guildford-based producer developed his ear, and his skills. His deep involvement in music has enabled him to come up with his own take, a very unique futuristic, forward thinking sound. Now, that sound comes to Protect Audio, and the epic Unfurled and The Bridge.

Unfurled begins with a mean and moody feeling surrounding a solitary click track, before the beat is ushered in, compelling you to start moving. More and more is added into the mix, including a sliding, slithering bassline. Hyro confounds and amazes in equal measure, and the true meaning behind Unfurled in never obvious, and always just out of reach. You’ll just have to listen to get the whole picture, which Hyroglifics paints in intricate detail.

Track two is The Bridge, and is a classic winter’s tale of restrained intensity. Coming with more of a kick than its predecessor, The Bridge merges technology seamlessly with soul and passion. The sweeping synths will have you in mind of producers like Rawtekk and Ill Skillz, but the flow and technique is all Hyroglifics. Things move at a smooth, seemingly relaxed tempo, but intricate drums will keep heads nodding and hearts pounding.
In addition Hyrogifics has also included a free giveaway track, Grey. This one is a true treat, and is proof positive of why Hyro has become a favourite of London Elektricity, Amoss, Meth, Overlook and many more.

With much more to come, make sure you grab this chance to hang out with Hyroglifics on Protect Audio.
