I still don't know how step sequencers work really.
I have seen vids of them on YT. I get the general idea how they play live like you see the light running through the steps and you press a button for each sample but how would that correspond to recording a session on the step sequencer in cubase?
I'm interested in using the patch/mod to get the padkontrol running as a step sequencer for this purpose as I think it would give me the more hands on feel for doing stuff that I have been clamouring for.
Hmm silly me. Now I think of it a bit there wouldn't be much point in that as having the padkontrol just in it's default mode with samples loaded up would do the same thing wouldn't it so long as I had quantize on in cubase and had the piano roll open...unless a hardware step sequencer does more than this?
