Hey Guys,

I was thinking it's about time I made a new tune and this time I am going for a Dubstep one! :)

I thought it would be cool to do some sort of release with this one on my Bandcamp page and thought I could include a VIP with the original track. I have never tried doing a VIP of one of my tracks before and thought it would be quite interesting :) I have listened to many VIPs and some seem to make subtle changes such as changing a bassline or particular sound or maybe even the arrangement but I have heard some that make rather drastic changes.

I was wondering, could someone give me tips on how to make a decent VIP? :D

Well I've never done a VIP myself so I'm probably not the best person to respond to this...

However, I think it's entirely up to the producer, in effect, it's just a remix, but of your own track. Change up the drum pattern, write a new bassline, turn it from dubstep to drum and bass or vice versa. Go crazy.

just change it up a bit
maybe go for a different drum arrangement an fit the bassline to it
ive remixed my tunes before but havnt done a vip i dont think anyway
but just think wen u were making the tune what ideas did you have but didnt do

Cheers guys :D

Handy timing actually. As I am working on the original right now none of the ideas I have should escape my mind when it comes to making the VIP! :D

u could easily make it now man just do two versions of the tune
i usually make 2 versions of the same tune
