creating this certain sound. It sounds like a 'hollowed' out sin, i really can't think of how to describe it, but Total Science pull it off perfectly in Skinz Icicle uses it in Nowhere too, but he seems to have a massive attack on it I'm don't want to completely copy this idea i'm just lost on this one and think it would tease nicely in a track. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance dudes
icicle uses it on pretty much all his tracks, somebody said it was a triangle played two notes at the same time, the bass note with the 7th note up and then lp.
I opened up massive and tried that. Maybe add a low amp polysaw to that a further 7 semitones down for a thicker bass.
Magyr waveform in massive. Low Pass + dimension expander. Maybe a touch of on of the distortion inserts before the lowpass too. Then some more stuff I might figure out later.
And some hollow carving lfo time multiplicator touch of panoration equalizer phase reversal Put it all through polarity compression and sidechain the ratio then a negative feedback dynamic distortion waveshaper filter and youre set
Also absolutely baffled. I don't really understand these terms Got to look them up, or would you please just explain a bit?
Unfortunately, it seems quite difficult to find anything about these terms. Not that it isn't there. Google just lists the wrong pages, even though i search properly, i guess.. It doesn't sound like basic LFO, EQ, compression, and distortion, which would be the most frequently search tags
no no you got it all wrong! it's parallel opto-nanocompression with just a hint of a conversed filter with a decreased bit depth resolution. The resonance is a 8-axis timestretch pitchshifter dongle. A lot of bassstep producers use that method.
Make sure you download the dongle first! And don't stretch the time axis more than 45 degrees or the resonance will spike horribly.
You guys are assholes haha. I bet he's retyping it all in hundreds of times trying to find the terms youre using lol.
