Basically the title. I try to make a liquid break, but it either comes out weak, or too chunky if that makes sense.

Could someone maybe just walk me through it, or maybe just give me some tips

Any advice is helpful :)

I'm using FL Studio 8 btw.

but its more about the synths n melodys u use imo.

Thats what i always thought. I usually mess those up somehow haha. but practice makes perfect.

I wasnt even aware that a think break existed until a few days ago, now all of my tracks (even my first ones) have a sample from that break lol.

i'll try that high passed amen as well. should i try to make the levels even with the think break, or should it be quieter?

Don't get too hung up on the heavy drum hits. Something like rim shots and thin kicks can work as well, if you're not looking for dancefloor potential.

Also try to get something interesting first without using any breaks, like just creating a simple 2 step pattern with single hits, then after that try different breaks to go with it.
