A couple of months does sound really short, I used to have stanton diablos which lasted at least a yr, bought technics second hand yrs ago with Stanton 500 craze (yellow with the squiggle on the side) and they were still usable after years so kept as spare, currently have Ortofon qbert but never had to replace needles after a couple of months apart from when I started off and was on those cheap ones for Numark turntables...
Check all the settings make sure the weight isn't too heavy, but also check your vinyl as if it's dusty then that's going to wear them quicker. I have one of those old fashioned rectangular things I swipe around the vinyl if I see dust on it.
