Ive been to my fair share of illegal raves and squat parties, with tonnes of different sound systems donating their gear.

Just wondering what would be in the average illegal rave set up? And how much you reckon it'd all cost?

Im not particularly interested in buying a massive system, but i might at some point in the future. Me and a couple of mates are hiring a local club for our own event (club gets all drink sales and 25% on admission prices), and if it goes well theres a chance of making it a regular thing, but we'd want to bring in our own system and stuff, so at some point we might invest.

iv thought about this before, drivers arent actually that expensive by themselves, its just putting the time and effort into making the cabs

obviously f1/void systems cost a lot, I dont know how some rig owners afford them lol.. especially as some of them cant afford a house.....

Sick. Just looking for kind of the average soundsystems specs. How many bins, what size, what amps are used, how are the amps powered? If by a generator, what generator etc?

Every illegal rave and squat party ive been entirely far too spangled to even think about asking anyone about their setup.

hire one, around 5-700 quid for a 15k rig, plenty enough.

2 bass cabs, 2 mids 2 tweets, 1 stage monitor and 2 booth monitors

Make sure you have a decent engineer if you decide to use your own system when you are out!

this is as important as the equipment, only takes one numpty redlining on a system that isnt sorted properly and your footing the bill for the whole lot...

I'm not really sure how you to do it but I know you can put fuses in your monitors that blow before the woofer does

dont know if it applies to every rig, but usually the price includes their engineer, as they dont want things to blow up either
