How is this made thread

And happened to being original? why do we all want to sound like a specific producer?

-Andy

i dont think its a case of people just wanting to sound like someone else. its good to know how certain sounds can be created, then you can put your own twist on it

this is prob the least helpful thread ive ever seen

a whole bunch of "how do i" not a lot of "how to"

I've got massive, but for some reason i can't figure it out.

try playing around with the polysaw oscs from memory they sound a bit like that... i could very easily be mistaken but i'll give it a whirl later

EDIT: here try this :) http://www.mediafire.com/?znmmzjeyndn

Good idea Revtec. Just seen this thread. I use Logic 9, how do i make Sub Zero syhths?

have a look at this thread, it may or may not help http://dnbforum.com/showthread.php?t=88223

If anyone on here wants to help, I've been trying to make this distinct jump up lead sound for a while and i just can't get it! someone posted a thread about tantrum desire looking for the same sound but not much help :(

square and saw . little reverb and some pitch mod and little bit of portomento

thats like the patch sub focus makes in the computer music tutorial. (producer masterclass). search it on youtube, he makes a dirty reece style sound then one of these electro stabs. that'll sort you out a treat.

Sub Zero - Motion

With motion, the bass on the drop can easily be replicated in Z3ta+. Now im doing this from memory so let me know if something doesnt add up.
Start with vintage pulse oscilator, you want quite a low end note. then add a hpf onto filter 1 and have it about half way up and then another hpf on filter 2 and have it just slightly above where you set filter 1. then you need to add a sine lfo and sinc it at 1/2 (you can change this based on preference) then add your lfo starting point, and your end point as your filter 1. set the bar only a few points up ie IIII........... and then go to effects, add some distortion (bitcrusher) only about 1/4 of the way. you should be left with a very similar sound as motion. if you want to replicate the sound exactly just add ohmicide distortion to it and play around until you have the exact sound your looking for.

Obviously to get the exact sound you want you're going to need to layer it with a more bassy synth and add a bit or distortion but im sure you can work out how to do that

it depends, Z3TA+ has a built in bitcrusher if u have that. If not there are so many free bitcrusher vst effects if you have a search on google.

The best bitcrusher vst effect i have found is tal-bitcrusher
