How good were the One Nation Raves under Terry Turbo?

Well Slammin Vinyl is more about business nowadays and as their focus is more on Hardcore..there you go. Also the music back then was "different". I´m more attracted to the old stuff than the new, so I´ll probably always join the moan club

Even his set's from '91 are really top drawer.

I rated Phantasy in the late late 90´s because he always played good kinda odd tunes (not really the party anthems), same with Swan E..unfortunately nowadays they are attracted to the worst jump up out there.

My first ever rave was One Nation 4th Birthday at the Island in Ilford. Will always hold great memories for me and the tape pack still gets rinsed!

The Biggest & the Best raves at Bagleys too were pretty sick and One Nation & Warning back at the Rex was a banger

But still they did one at Club UN in 96 and that was very naughty, loads of shit going on in there that night, we left early (4ish) as it was just getting worse and worse.

The Doves & strawberry's we had weren't helping..we was all battered!

Mate the one nations at REX (stratford, east london) were the safest id ever been......I live down the road from the venue and any other event at the rex usually ended with a stabbing and the occassional shooting....and thats no lie......

Terrys nights were sick!!!! proper party, no trouble...safe doorstaff.....even outside in the line to get in they'd stop queue jumpers and mugging scum......I once see a mugger get stripped naked and made to walk on the stage after robbing someone......he proberly got a good smack outside aswell....terry was a proper raver back in the early days so he knows he's stuff......shame he doesnt run them himself anymore really.

You know even he's mum used to work collecting the money on the door......yeah, he used to put on fat nights.

thats tottenham for you tho mate...not one nation......round them ways you get locals getting involved just for the spoils not for the music......thieving little low life cunts.......when i put on my events i dont even let the cunts come near the queue let alone get inside my rave(s)....send on there merry little way to the funky house and grime rave around the corner (laughter)

I'm normally at the back of raves these days, socialising and networking etc. Buss a lickle skank here n there. The thing is, it allows you to take a lot in of what's going on. The crackhead thieving scum have had to evolve their game, becuase you've get photoscan ID and more CCTV etc these days.

So, you have a group of crackhead thieving cunts walking around the rave, putting their hands in pockets. They then take the stuff they've robbed and hand it over to another cunt prentending to enjoy himself at the back of the rave. Whilst also bussin joke with a bouncer, but even if you have an ounce of street sense, you can see they all know eachother.

Never went to an ON at the Rex. Went to loads of MC Conventions/Innovations/maybe a Warnining?? But yea, place was grimey. I've got friends that lived in Stratford so used to stay at theirs after which was lucky...a lot of the real madness happened afterwards in & around the station etc..
