How exactly do you EQ Uplift/Downlift sweeps?

I'm considering on using an uplift sweep in a track I am currently working on, and after toying around a bit I realized that the sweep is a tad too loud.

Taking this into consideration, would you EQ the sweep so that it will blend better with the track as a whole, or simply lower the volume of it?

Compression/limiting makes the sound lose some of its dynamics, as you are literaly "compressing" the sound. There usefull tools for gelling sounds together and getting things to hit harder like your snares, but other than that i personally try and use them very lightly for the reason i just stated. In the case above a limiter would work but its not the best option when you can turn the sound down and keep all the dynamics in tact.

99% thats right.
