how do i compress a mix??

every time i do a mix its nuff big like 500mbs how do i compress it?? so i can put it on myspace or on here?? does winzip work??

For heaven's sake, do you know what an mp3 is?

It's a compressed music file.

You take the wave that you get out of your recording and you convert it (compress) it into a mp3. Use the standard settings in your mp3 compression program and you'll have a 70 mb files out of a 500 mb one. Settings = 128kps mono is fine (and before you lot tell me he needs stereo, I want to know what dnb tracks are true stereo).

Sorry mate, but this is absolute basics.

I thought you were asking how to compress/normalize a mix so its all the same level but if you don't know how to convert files then audio mastering is not something we can discuss.

what do you record it on, if you download a program that can like a WAV file or summin into an mp3 it compresses it to the size of a standard mp3 file....eg like 4mb....good luck...

i use sony sound forge but once iv recorded its already mp3 its jus nuff big!

when you say "mix" do you mean mix as in a dj mix????

the myspace player is ment for single tracks, you can put short sets on there, just a few tracks per mix but thats about it
