Depending on your platform (Windows/Mac) there are different ones. A few popular DAW's are Cubase, Propellerhead Reason, Ableton Live, Cakewalk Sonar, Apple Logic and FL Studio Most of them have have demo's so you should definitely try before you buy... stepping into the production world is a big investment.
