Basic stuff you need is a decent computer, a DAW (digital audio workstation) software, and some understandings of rhythm to get started.

The DAW software is what you will be making the music in.

Depending on your platform (Windows/Mac) there are different ones.

A few popular DAW's are Cubase, Propellerhead Reason, Ableton Live, Cakewalk Sonar, Apple Logic and FL Studio

Most of them have have demo's so you should definitely try before you buy... stepping into the production world is a big investment.

get fruity loops or cubase, get synths ( massive (ni,) z3ta, albin,o get distortion camle phat get samples of google, watch lots of tutorials, learn how to eq, then ur almost there

My advice would be... get pier drumz, add a generous helping of basez and then put an absolutely banging donk on it. Guaranteed success.
