    get a sound card with a phono to phono connection and connect it that way? or with a good quality 3.5mm jack to phono lead?

    Thats what I do, and you wouldn't know the difference.
    Check Richersounds.co.uk out. They do a high quality Cambridge Audio cable

    if your description is correct, you are doing it totally wrong :(

    this is for your house, right? b/c the link of what you are 'getting' is for cars:confused:

    wiring that up might be a little bit more than you want to tackle ;')

    Your better off getting proper audio equipment designed for home use. The audio cable described previously would connect to the rear of your amp but not directly to car audio equipment. You could connect 1 amp to another but it is no recommended.
