HIGHER RMS POWER, OR HIGHER SPEAKER WATTAGE?

i am thinking of buying a set of speakers, one set has a higher wattage, and the other has 100w less max power, but has 200watts more RMS power.. please help !

RMS = root mean squared [in this case = power], this means the average power is high, the other means it can hit certain freq's at higher power. RMS is everything mate
