Played in Brighton @ Audio last night with Commix and had this problem...

Xone 62 connected as standard to 1000s and 1210s

The left deck is perfect through its channel.

The right deck is only playing through the left stack only...

Obvious solutions were change the needle, channel its connected to, we even changed the deck and crossfader (All during my set). Then I realised im getting both L/R come through on the mixer cue, headphones and monitors

So a whole set with one of the decks playing out one side WTF has gone wrong here?!

Me and the Engineer didnt have a scooby, anyone seen this problem before?

maybe the right deck channel was a bit dodgy on the xone 62?

could have been a lead which has been snagged causing it to send the channel to left only?

As said tried it the deck on a different mixer channel and then swaped the deck for a known working one...

what about the amp? and the cables connected to it?
If you were getting l/r form the mixer to your headphones then the amp and cables are the only things left.

But you only get a L/R out the mixer with the channels combined, if a side didnt work for one deck it wouldnt for the other either from the mixer out...On deck played throught both L/R and the other just through L...

But yeah L/R out of the headphones too.

This isnt a straight forward problem is properly strange :s

I would be asking the question, "Why wasn't all of the equipment sound checked before the night started?".

As you can imagine I was more than a little pissed off...The guys was runnign round like a cunt trying to fix it though so I couldnt express my feelings, it ruined my set imo.

The the next Dj reaked of student and asked to borrow my headphones! that was the last fucking straw...

Haha nothing worse than lending out headphones.. once gave my hd25s to someone with a fatter head and they have never been the same. It's just basic DJ etiquette to carry your own headphones!!

    sounds like a mixer issue.

as gloxxy said. should've been checked before.

They usually have a 92 in there...the 62 they had was shot to bits none of the cue lights even worked.

If you're DJ-ing, you bring your own headcans. Its standard issue info. You should have told the student to fuck off and mix through the monitors.
