LONG TIME NO POST HUH.
Context Digital Magazine is not being relaesed until at least early summer next year!
We have been in negotiation with various advertising agencies and have desperately pushed for a November release wioth a view to going bi monthly from January.
However problems have occured in the advertising department which have spiralled out of our control. The magazine's issue two has seen a complete re-design and a total video content with artists from Booker T (house/garage), Rodney P (hip hop), L double (1xtra dnb), Mystro (lowlife, hip hop), Skully (kiss100) all wishing to get involved with the project.
We have been advised by good sources at already established magazines that the magazine deserves a proper launch and this is something we cannot do right now. We do have the funds to print issue two but as mentioned we could only print 7000 copies which just aint doing it justice.
We are currently in negotiation with certain agencies re. advertising with a view to relaesing 25,000 copies in mid summer '05 alongside a proper promotional campaign. This will happen and will see a nationwide launch with events happening alongside 222Cartel.
Currently events are taking place with 222Cartel (the last featuring the mighty GURU (Gangstarr) at Reading uni), and Adam F /Scratch Pervs at Southampton uni. The last remaining copies of issue one will be given out here (they will be worth summin in the future!)
Work is continuing on the magazine all the time and the website will still be going up soon (from the makers of DOA).
The bottom line is the magazine has grown out of our control right now and we need to re-assess the situation in order to get tings sorted proper...init!
