HELP WITH THIS SORT OF BASS!

wondering how people would approach making this main bass, i can get something similar by really distorting saw waves detuned against eachother like a normal reece, then low passing it all and adding tremolo and stereo spreading - but it then loses a lot of its sub and body, how do they get that warbley earthquaking sound but still have it as a lead driving sub sorta thing too? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZfgppIH3rQ

There's actually a Computer Music magazine tutorial that the Sigma guys did that should explain exactly how they made the bass.

I think it's from not the most recent edition but the one before that, part one of the video is on Youtube where they discuss how they made the break but then go on to say either part 2 or 3 that comes with the magazine explains how they made the bass.

That Sub Focus video is pretty darn good though although slightly unorthodox how he uses the formant to shape the tone of the sound.

Definitely a good result though if you copy it properly.
