You got the wrong cables for your gear.

You've got two xlr inputs in your monitors.

You need a 3.5mm jack -> 2 x xlr.

Like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HQ-3-5mm-Ster...hash=item370071510914&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318

However check that the xlr end is correct (if you need a cable with holes at the xlr end, then you need a 'female' xlr, if you need a cable with bolts, then you need a 'male'.).

You could also buy a male 3.5 stereo jack -> 2 x RCA female and connect that to the cables you've got but you'll be adding noise to your system so don't.

The monitors you bought are very good, perhaps too good...

:beers: thanks dustek you are very wise
i appericiate the info mate
i need the male cables going to get them from my electrical shop soon
yeah they are pretty phat speakers but i'll be paying for them for many many years to come :|
thanks again
