Help with monitor connection plz???

Ive just got a pair of alesis monitors and want to connect them to my comp, also picked up a xlr - rca cable (pic below) but i cant figure out the other bits to connect them into the slot in my pc (green one for speakers)
i searched for previous posts but couldnt find any answers, please help

You got the wrong cables for your gear.

You've got two xlr inputs in your monitors.

You need a 3.5mm jack -> 2 x xlr.

However check that the xlr end is correct (if you need a cable with holes at the xlr end, then you need a 'female' xlr, if you need a cable with bolts, then you need a 'male'.).

You could also buy a male 3.5 stereo jack -> 2 x RCA female and connect that to the cables you've got but you'll be adding noise to your system so don't.

The monitors you bought are very good, perhaps too good...

i need the male cables going to get them from my electrical shop soon
yeah they are pretty phat speakers but i'll be paying for them for many many years to come
