Help with Massive Native Instrument..

I need help how to use Massive Native Instrument for make a dark style bass-line, if somebody can link me to a quality tutorial and maybe a good place where i can get a sick Presets as well..

I can use sylenth and predator and es2 and shit, but i don't get all the stuff in the box in massive. I can enver work out how it correlates (dunno if that's the right word) with the rest of the vst? I wanted to download the manual but apparently its like $30 which is quite crazy.

Cheers guys, is all about read manual inniet.. ive got massive 1.1.5, and you can find the documentation folder in program files in a few language..

For a dark-style bass I'd just mess with the knobs under the presets 'B-pulse,' 'Bandpass', and the default spectrum until I got the sound I was looking for.

I just went from there really.

From my experience a lot of the "darkness" comes from other fx, massive was just a starting point.

^^^^ I can't stress enough how important this is.

Massive, and any other synth, is often just the starting point of your sound designing. Once you've created a basic sound that you want to work with try resampling it, adding effects chains, layering, etc. The number of 100% unique and original sounds you can achieve is practically limitless.

all depends how you learn tho, for me i found it easier (and more fun) to just play about with it for ages (year or 2) to see what did what and how this would effect that etc. rather than read the manual.
