help with beginner moniter's please

    hello ive just got back into produceing and im useing my hd25's for sound but useing headphones all the time just hurts the head , can any one suggest sum beginner moniters for me? much thanks !!!

    one of the cheaper alesis ones maybe? the 620s or something? what budget were you thinking about?

    i was looking at the alesis m1 passive model to get me started , and my budget is around £200 i dont want to be spending to much yet till i get a bit better

    if you get some monitors then it will not hurt your head, head.

    buy an aiwa stereo and rig it up to some 2000 watt speakers i find that gives the cleanest sound around

    Best monitors around £200 are KRK Rokits 5's.

    why not buy some better ones for like 300 and dont have to upgrade soon??

    i think the bare minimum is the alesis mk2 active, or the model that came after. i used to rock alesis, they were amazing and only 270 for the pair

    yeah. pretty much this ^^^

    rocking them aswell ;) - really good monitors with a good lowend response due to the 7,5" cone.

    Much better clarity than the rockets (imo)...

    i just bought the rokit 6s and even though i know i couldnt possibly get 8s (cos my studio is really small) it still feels kind of penisless
