Well first off whats your oppinions on happy hardcore and secondly what do you think about fusions of style with dnb. I'm making a tune with some uplifiting happy hardcore vocals with a dubby bassline and a nord lead. Might sound like a melting pot of shit but it actually sounds alright.

Dnb is a fusion style. Mix it with anything you like. People try to kill it by keeping it 'pure', thats not purity, its stagnation.

    Check my sig.

hey I didnt mind the old happy hardcore until about 1994, when all the breakbeats went away. it used to have cool breaks aver those stupid kick drums, awesome for getting drunk to and mashing around

Me too mate, those were the days when someone like Dj Sy would play smd vol.1 and he'd play some dark as fuck tune right after!

As MrG says, those were the days but now isn't it all that piano playing monkeys, Skooter, DJ sammi kinda cack? They say that the atmosphere at a happy hardcore ball is the same as what a Jungle night was in 1992. But I prefer the darkside of tings. It's the challenge of not getting shot that makes it fun for me.

Both styles were the same thing. Have a listen to my mixes here....

Happyhardcore WAS amen breaks, sub bass, chipmonks, pianos, crazy riffs, and 909 beats.

Happyhardcore devolved into eurotrance in 1996/7 or so. Its deplorable now, I can't listen to it anymore. Up until that point I concidered myself a happy hardcore fan.

Thats the way to do it! A set of solid dark or happy tracks is boring.
