LOCAL CREW REPRESENT
Does Edy C (or his mum) still work in VIP Vinyl?
Used to shop there for Hardcore years ago =)
funny you should say that, VIP closed down a few weeks ago
apparently it's being taken over by some other people though
oh right, doh!
wuz a good shop, used to travel up weekly from portsmouth to buy da choons
was never too hot for dnb all they ever seemed to have was Ram stuff, Edy loved ram..
apparently there was a small studio in the back, and the vocals to Sambuca were recorded in the little corridor behind the counter
Yeah, he used to work on his Hardcore choons back there when I used to go up. Ran Cakewalk I believe
If you wanted the heavy stuff, you had to ask his mum! She knew her stuff
Luke from the Holden Bros. has bought VIP, there is still a studio out the back.
but it is a shame about VIP.......is it gonna b run as the same shop, or different do ya know???
can't see it changing too much
VIP is still going to be there I know the guy who's reopening it, at the mo it's just changing hands. I sometimes come down to visit mates in chi but I don't live there no more-SHAME!!!!
wahey happy belated birthday lol
VIP is all open again now it's all been done up and everything it's well posh, dnb is well represented now too
and apparently the new guy has a tune coming out on underfire
That'll be Mr. Lynx in effect. Still all about that shop in pompey tho
Underfire doesn't exist anymore, right?
Stakka + Skynet have gone their separate ways.......
no no, i asked him what name he'd be using and he said he didnt have one yet...
that's exactly what i said to him
It is Lynx, and he had few releases on underfire and its sister labels before the label split. Hes got some wicked bits forthcoming. Top draw producer
Separate names with a comma.
