This was originally a dnb tune but I made it half step. Now what genre would you put this in lol?

p.s. out on tuesday 9th itunes etc.

just curious what genre would you say this tune is, it was dnb when we started working on it but it turned out some completely different , tempo is 175 but half beat.

edit > it's out today http://itunes.apple.com/en/album/alien-beach/id569027451 (also on all the other digital shops like trackitdown, rhapsody, napster, amazon, juno etc.)

May just be due to lack of musical knowledge but yeah I'd say so. I mean stuff like wicked so, some of TC's newer stuff, its half step but you'd still call it dnb, no?

Yeah it translates to 140 by default I think

yeah It's definitely dubstep.

and because OP made dubstep, he is a massive faggot.

but then again it could be that quickdub genre that skrillex invented.

Well, something that sounds great shouldn't be classified..Its just good music :)

Tbh I find this argument rather stupid, since you're pretty much saying genres are useless. If you hear a dope liquid tune without having heard any dnb before how are you gonna search for similar tracks? by saying "I heard this cool tune it had, you know, bass and synths and shit and it went like this: ..." :D Good luck with that

If you're a helmet you call it drumstep or some other such faggoty name but if you're a normal person you'd just call it drum and bass, seeing as that is what it is.
