Just got 3 tunes delivered to my house from Redeye.

High Contrast - If We Ever / Pink Flamingos
Ebony Dubsters - Ra / Ra (Original Sin Remix)
Chase & Status - Hurt You / Sell Me Your Soul

And Went to Tempest in Brum and bought

    D*Minds & Hazard - Mr Happy

Okay Okay Okay...I know they've been raped at every event in the country, but who cares. You gotta have em!

    Anyway, quick question..

How do I get a set somewhere? I might be doing an hour set at my mates birthday party in a few weeks in a function room, but I'm talkin about a proper set in a club somewhere. Cuz I've got no idea.

do a mix, record it, send it to a promoter/s.

maybe record the one at ur mates birthday, if it turns out well, get a youtube channel up, upload it, stick the link to it on ur set... maybe a myspace/FB with other sets on u have recorded too.

probably more but thats off the top o me nut

umm.. first of all probly not rinsing those tunes, practise, send out mix cds to promoters, constantly be on to people to give you set times, just gotta keep buggin mate.

but sending out mix cds is the given really, i was quite lucky to land residency, right place, right time. now i run my own night.

    Sound Advice!

Yeah, If I was gonna do a mix for a CD, I'd probably mix some more unknown / less rinsed tunes.

I've got a soundcloud profile aswell, but I've got serious lack of views or downloads!

Need to make some CD's I think.

You'll need more than 4 records to do a set.

4/5 minutes a track, 2 on each vinyl....

I make that at least 40 minutes. Get a couple more tunes you will be well away. :teeth:

On a real though, get a tune collection together of stuff you like playing, put some studio mixes together and push and promote yourself wherever and whenever possible to whoever gives you the time of day. Failing that, make some heavy tunes!

Those aren't the only records I've got!

I've got about 20 records, mixture of all styles really, enough to do do a decent hour long set.

Trouble is, most of the tunes I've got are a bit rinsed, for example - warface, timewarp, more than a lot LP, D for Danger, Overfiend...

Need to start looking for some more records to keep my collection fresh and up to date, start recording more mixes and get my name around, and might get some production software.

Anyone recommend good software for dnb production?

    Sound for the advice.
