grime is a strange sort of rap. because they dont rap? apparently you dont have to rhyme? like in that vid you posted rocks, that guy actually raps, and thats weird, for grime.
anyway this is the best tune to come out that whole genre

JME is an odd grime rapper. from what i understand hes one of the founding fathers of the genre but as far as rapping goes hes following a rhyming scheme that is based on not rhyming. rhyming the same word on the same word over and over is a standard grime practice. handy, you can rap for days on end doing that. and his lyrical themes are different from the rest, at least in the songs ive heard from him. a little corny, like hes really rapping to impress his mum and be water polo and school boy uniform type clever (like that french bit he does in the beginning of that cypher bit, i dont remember exactly but its something like 'yo im JME, for those who know who i am, salute, parlez-vous fran├žais, je m'appelle JME, salut' and then he repeats that like three times, he was so proud of that french bit he had to say it three times haha). first tune i heard by him was the one where he says 'serious' all the time. i just dont think hes very good, but then grime is an aquired taste i guess. and i suppose hes trying to do something different from all the badmannery in grime. from what i understand its their 'thing' to be super ghetto hood rudeboy rambo bazooka your mum but in a british way, so do it over wall to wall carpeting with tea and telly. grime is the badman-est genre right, there is no genre more criminal and rudeboy and badman. i read on doa long ago a guy said he tried to make it as a grime dj when the music was just coming up but gave it up because he wasnt criminal enough. wonder if they tried to break america with grime yet?
