    Who's into grime etc.

I know Dizzee / Wiley get mentioned loads but what are people thinking about the wider scene / music?

I've been listening to some random pirates and wondered if anyone knows any good sites, pref with audio.

    Anyone reached any raves etc?

I'd like more info too, definitely love Dizzee, didn't really take to Wiley's album though.

I'd imagine the raves would be full of Burberry's, he he.

check Plasticman, Eastwood, Kode 9 as producers/DJs

the first three sites all have sets for download, but its hard to find anything upfront online to leech. plenty of online radio though, let us know if you want that ...

Wiley's album had a few real good tunes but some fucking CRAP too.

yer I'm feeling it at the mo I was watching Channel U on the weekend and they were playing alot of new artist's tracks the one that caught my attention was Logan & a track calle Spin heavy!!! Also felling Shystie think she's pretty ghetto & ain't that bad looking either. Also anyone listened to Taz? He's got a new album coming on Def Jam UK with guest appearances from Ludacris, G Unit, & Redman not bad overseas connection for a UK artist album.

    EZ u lot,

i recently switched from the UKG/Grime/Dubstep scene to DnB myself...

it seems to be developing at the moment so its still pretty basic but it is turning v.dark....

    check out www.darksideriddem.com

this site had some nice sets in the Downloads section...

i reccomend Macarbe Unit... some ofd the lyrics r pretty sick but still... they r producing some very futuristic soundz... nice beats & bass, you'll see what i meen by basic tho..its got nothing like the production of dark DnB,

I hate Wiley, he's way too egotisical...Dizzee however is sick, he talks truth

dont watch the MCs...all bout some of the production coming from Sticky/Macarbe Unit/Geenius

i'l come back with more if u want them...i could even put up a mix if u guys wanna hear more?....

might not be too up2date but still im sure there will be this "new" style track u guys will like 4 sure....

o yea, i shud also say that i made the switch to DnB fully as UKG DJs seem to only get anywhere if they r "bad mans"...i gave up UKG after 3 years & now im doing DnB i actually feel like im getting somewhere......

Gotta say, musically some of this stuff isnt bad. Its like theyve taken the harder parts of garage and toughened them up a bit.

    Not feeling the MC'ing tho.

i dont really like grime but its all about MCin really innit. really simple beats that MCs can flow well over.

some of the beats are more off-kilter and creative than a lot of dNb I hear, and one of my fave mixes is a Plasticman mix with no MCing at all, just weird rhythms. Its a very MC driven scene I agree though,

Heavy! Some good mixes in there!!!

Im feeling those Macabre Unit tunes, Ive also noticed Platicman seems to be putting out some good stuff. I tried downloading the promo cd from that Darkside Riddem site, but it turned out to be 50 odd minutes of silence lol.

Still not feeling the MCing tho...

very strange music. im glad the brits are still coming up with new genres though, been a while.

erm. the mix opened in a quicktime player while the same was on winamp without me even noticing. might be one reason it sounded a bit weird. :rinsed:
